Columbia Elementary School Reviews
Quality Score: 5 Post Date:2009-01-08
“Columbia is a school with very dedicated staff and an excellent principal. Mrs. Musser is no doubt the best principal in the Joplin school district. Columbia has a very active parent group that will welcome anyone who wants to participate.” This review was posted by a parent.

“Columbia Elementary is an overall good school. Ms. Durr is the best teacher my child has ever had. She was genuinely caring and helpful and very encouraging and patient without being a pushover. All the kids respected her. She is a fourth grade teacher. There are not too many extracarricular opportunities available through the school. Most sports, etc. are available through the YMCA or the Boys and Girls Club. I am not sure how involved the parents are, but on the parent/teacher nights, the school was always crowded. The school seems crowded with some classrooms being located in 'trailers' on the school grounds and a few located in the halls surrounded by particians. I have been assured that Columbia is one of the best elementary schools in Joplin and they were highly awarded for excellence in MAP testing scores. I believe that for a small town, this school is a great one.” This review was posted by a parent.
